Equinor is looking for experienced engineers to transform the Norwegian shelf and shape the future of energy.

Development and Production Norway (DPN) is, an operator and partner on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS); responsible for managing the NCS resources in a safe, efficient and sustainable manner; to create value for our owners, suppliers and the people of Norway. Equinor has today a solid position on the NCS. We have fields of all sizes, from giants such as Troll, Statfjord and Gullfaks, to small fast-track projects tied to existing infrastructure. Equinor's ambition is to ensure at least 60% recovery from the NCS. Our top priority is safe, efficient and sustainable operation to pursue our long-term profitable production from the NCS.

In the operation group for our offshore installations we need to strengthen our mechanical engineer force in Stavanger and Harstad.
As part of the operational group you will work with challenging and various task in an operating environment.

In the technical integrity competence unit you will work with challenging and various tasks within technical integrity, technical support to operation, modifications, preparation for operation of new fields and corporate support. Our task is to transform the Norwegian shelf and the work is dependent on good cooperation across and the ability to identify and change way of working.

Job Description

We are looking for pro-active and experienced mechanical engineers within operation and maintenance of offshore installations.
To meet future needs, we request personnel within the following competences:
- Static mechanical equipment
- Piping & layout
- Valves

Position 1: Mechanical engineer -- operational group
- Contribute to preparation of operational schedules and participate in relevant decisions meetings
- Handle workorder-volume within mechanics towards other subjects with respect to interfaces and the maintenance portfolio within mechanics
- Collaborate with discipline responsible offshore regarding input and preparation of new workorders
- Coordinate plan preparation with other units and external suppliers
- Create requisitions and ensure correct input in requisitions in cooperation with the offshore facility (parts, equipment, material and services/personnel) for preventive and corrective maintenance
- Follow up equipment for repair
- The work is dependent of good cooperation across different disciplines and between offshore and on-shore facilities

Position 2: Technical integrity - Static mechanical equipment, piping and valves:
- Maintain technical integrity, safety barrier management and risk understanding
- Look for and promote energy efficient and low-emission solutions.
- Contribute to standardization and efficiency improvement
- Participate in operating, maintenance and modification activities
- Technical support to operation and projects to handle technical challenges
- Technical support to the operation group due to findings and operational disruptions

Qualifications

- Master or bachelor's degree within mechanical disciplines
- Relevant mechanical experience from the oil and gas industry
- General understanding of adjoining competences and interfaces
- Fluent in Norwegian and English both written and verbal
- Operational experience is advantageous
- For the positions in the Operational Departments it is desirable with a Technical Certificate (FAGBREV) in a relevant discipline (i.e. Industry mechanics or similar)
